Terms & Privacy - SSL Converter

1. The service

SSL Converter is a free utility that converts SSL/TLS certificates between common formats (PEM, DER, P7B, PFX, CRT, CER, KEY). It is offered as-is, without warranties of any kind. By using the website or API you agree to these terms.

2. Acceptable use

You must own — or be authorised to handle — every certificate and key you submit.
Don’t use the service to attack, impersonate, or exfiltrate data from third parties.
Don’t abuse the API (rate-limits, scraping, automated load). Access can be revoked.

3. Data & privacy

Uploaded certificates and any password supplied are processed only to perform the conversion you requested. Files may be stored briefly on the server for processing and are not shared with third parties. We keep minimal log entries for abuse prevention and diagnostics.

For sensitive material, prefer the offline OpenSSL CLI. Anything you send over a public service should be considered exposed.

4. API keys

API access requires an active subscription. Your API key is issued and managed from your dashboard, where you can regenerate it at any time. Keep it private and treat it like a password — anyone with the key can use your subscription. Cancelling your subscription deactivates the key.

5. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AE8 disclaims all liability for damages arising from the use, misuse, or unavailability of the service.
